Virtual Co-Creation with Fun Factor: Talents Collaborate Online. Since 2008, Bertelsmann has been inviting international students to its premises in the German capital, where they work in interdisciplinary teams on exciting case studies and collaborate with experienced entrepreneurs on central business challenges. In 2020, the event had to be canceled for the first time due to the pandemic, and for 2021, Bertelsmann invited students from all over Europe to a digital career event. But how can the spirit and enthusiasm of the physical event be transferred to the virtual space? Corecreate supports Bertelsmann in the search for a suitable event platform and in the preparation of workshops and moderation. A technical implementation is sought and found that offers maximum flexibility to all participants and works flawlessly. The lively moderation, dynamic facilitation by the team leads, and inspiringly designed Miro boards make the online event a real collaborative hit. Although the three-day event full of networking, workshops, and community sessions can finally take place live in Berlin again in 2022, Bertelsmann decides on a hybrid implementation - in keeping with the times. It turns out that the virtual extension offers exciting dramaturgical possibilities, especially in the ...

A Startup Plays Its Way into New Spaces. Too Good To Go has made it its mission to inspire and motivate everyone to take action against food waste. To put their own words into action, the young, ambitious startup has set out to achieve something big: building a global movement against food waste. The Danish company is now active with its food app in 13 European countries and is even expanding to the USA in 2020. No wonder, then, that the Berlin branch is rapidly expanding and almost bursting at the seams. A large new loft location is being rented. The staff looks forward to the move with mixed feelings. Will the good communication and intensive exchange in the current cramped spaces continue in the new, much larger office? How will the same physical closeness be achieved there? With the aim of preparing the entire team for working together in the new spaces and involving all participants creatively in the design process, the management turns to corecreate. In a half-day workshop, the participants clarify their concerns and questions using the LEGO® Serious Play® method. Even critical topics become fun through working with built metaphors. From Goal to Game - Achieving a Goal Agreement Process Through Design Sprint. Many companies are realizing that their current compensation system is no longer working well - because what's valid today is outdated tomorrow. Can Goal Agreement Still Be Saved? The management of a medium-sized company in the entertainment industry decides to actively involve its workforce in solving this problem. In a two-day sprint, twenty employees and managers tackle the issue. The Challenge “What does a solution for a new goal agreement process look like that considers the many needs of those involved? And how do we convey our solution ideas to management?” It quickly becomes clear how diverse and sometimes contradictory the needs in the goal agreement process are - a complex situation for which there really is no simple solution. Process Prototyping The group sets out to develop ideas for sub-problems. Everyone creates at least one idea sketch. The creatives stand in amazement before their “Art Gallery”: “I never thought we would be capable of developing such a large number of exciting ideas, let alone sketching them!”, a colleague notes in surprise. Several sub-teams subsequently work on developing the ideas further. To ...

Co-Creation Workshop “Creative Space”

2025-02-17T17:25:25+01:00

Co-Creation Workshop “Creative Space” Groundbreaking ideas are not to be expected at the desk in front of the computer. They are much more likely to come while showering, jogging, cycling, or with friends at the bar. Hip digital companies offer their staff creative spaces that invite playful communication and experimentation. In this spirit, an energy company from northern Germany is getting to work. Their new creative space is intended to reflect the ongoing digitalization process. Design Challenge “What does a creative space look like that brings us new thoughts while being versatile and usable?” The team involved has set themselves a sporty timeframe: at the end of a single workshop day, they want to present two alternative room models. All important functions of the organization are represented in the team, bringing their knowledge, ideas, and perspectives to the project. From a safe distance, the interior designer follows the ideation process to gain inspiration for the implementation. Of course, valuable advice for the room ideas also emerges. The workshop process is tightly scheduled: Right from the start, participants build prototypes for their individual ideas. Mood boards with inspirations are created and then compared with the ...

2025-02-17T17:28:01+01:00

Speed Ideation for the Wiesenviertel in Witten: Engaged Citizens Develop Over 200 Ideas for Their District “We only have two and a half hours - how can we design a workshop to generate as many ideas as possible?” In the Wiesenviertel, one finds oneself in a rare luxury situation: There's a district with a lot of potential, a large network of creative people, and funding to support concrete ideas. It's time to put our heads together and collectively envision a livable, community-oriented, and creative district. Whether it's temporary vacant space activation, cultural projects in public spaces, or social entrepreneurship ideas - the Stellwerk wants to brainstorm the future of the district together with the citizens. The tricky part: there are only two and a half hours for the idea workshop. With the Brainwriting method, this is no problem. After 20 minutes, each participant holds 25 ideas for solving their question in their hands. More than enough material for the subsequent presentation and discussion of ideas on the metaplan boards. After two and a half hours, everyone has been heard and further steps have been agreed upon for each idea. The Wiesenviertel has long been bundling ...

The two-and-a-half-day workshop begins with a day of field research: in the construction container, Eckwerk collaborator Uta Mühleis gives the Treibhaus team a project overview. On the adjacent Pampa grounds, Johannes Husten explains the innovative business model. Ideation and Prototyping: On the Wooden Path?
